The older I get the more I question the reality of what goes on around me and the world. We enter into a world that is aimed at conditioning our minds from birth. As we grow up we lose our spontaneity, free thinking and creativity in order to fit into the society that we are part of. This is a real concern to me for we are coerced from the cradle, to adopt the practices, views, values handed to us. This process takes place when we are still too young to grasp and continues throughout our lives. We then, in turn, hand over that baton of what we were told, taught and encouraged to believe to those in our world of influence. This includes our views on religion and what we believe, our political persuasion, our education, our social choices, our careers.
When the world stops making sense it is time to start reflecting and this what my blog is about. There are so many illusions masquerading as truth and for me it is essential to challenge these myths in order to make sense of what is going on around me. Not an easy road to walk and it does have its risks but certainly, to me, it is the only way to go.
I invite you to join me on the challenging journey.
Sincerely yours
Vincent Surics
